Glenden State School has been implementing the Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support Program for some time now.
The SWPBS program helps schools to create positive learning environments by developing proactive whole-school systems to define, teach, and support appropriate student behaviours.
SWPBS was developed by leading behavioural experts in the United States and is used in more than 4,000 schools across the United States.
Through the program, schools implement evidence-based approaches to managing student behaviour support issues at the local community level.
With an emphasis on data-based decision-making, the program is evaluated regularly and practices are adjusted to make sure the process is achieving effective results for schools.
Glenden State School use the motto 'aim for Success, Safety, Respect' to underpin their SWPBS program.
