Each year at Glenden State School, students have the opportunity to decide on and participate in varied extra-curricular activities. Clubs can help to increase and improve problem solving, forward planning, lateral, logical and sequential thinking as well as memory, visualisation and verbalisation. These cognitive skills are developed in a highly engaging environment. Clubs can also provide an opportunity for all children to develop self-confidence, decision making skills, resilience and a sense of responsibility. These clubs often operate before or after school hours and at lunch breaks. They run for 30mins to 1 hour and are supervised by staff.
